While many of us snooze dreamily through the night, teams of dedicated police officers patrol the streets and keep us safe. Then, when we go off to our sunny days rested and relaxed, they struggle to sleep in the light (along with shift workers everywhere).
It’s not an uncommon problem. There are even shift work sleep disorders – thousands of people simply can’t sleep during the day. But one officer in British Columbia found better sleep – dare we say snoozle? – with the Nite Hood, and sent us a pretty cozy testimonial. We asked, and he’s ok with us sharing it here:
“…As you can imagine the lack of sleep is detrimental to everyone, but for a police officer the jeopardy has significant life and death consequences…”
“Love it!! Always had issues with sleep mask slipping off. The night hood worked like magic!! I am a police officer and am going to a two-day and two-night rotation, requiring me to sleep during the day. The Nite Hood is going to be a blessing during the daytime sleeps.
As you can imagine the lack of sleep is detrimental to everyone, but for a police officer the jeopardy has significant life and death consequences… I pride myself as being a mentor / coach (last three years has been the departments use of force coordinator) I will be preaching the merits of the Nite Hood to anyone who will listen and intend to gift the second Nite Hood to my new partner.”
Whether the Nite Hood will become part of the standard issue police uniform remains to be seen, but to you Peter (and all of those keeping us safe while we sleep), we say thank you, sleep better, and pleasant dreams.
